The AVI Ref. 765 1953 Re-Edition recreates to the very last detail one of the early executions of the Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI. The Watch identical dimensions to the original. Black dial, Stainless steel Bidirectional rotating bezel, and a Black Calfskin Leather strap. The Watch comes complete with the original Breitling watch box and Breitling papers.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Luminous Arabic numeral hour markers. Fine printed minutes, seconds & fraction-of-a-second track. Polished the hour & minute hands in Syringe shapes, with Vintage colored luminous fill. Non-screw-locked, two gaskets. Domed hesalite (plastic) crystal. Small running seconds sub-dial located at the 9 o’clock position.

Chronograph/Stopwatch functions: Column wheel mechanism; large central seconds hand counter, capable of keeping time up to 1/4th of a second; 15-minutes sub-dial counter located at the 3 o’clock position. Back in the 1950’s a pilot’s final plane check was expected to not exceed 15 minutes, hence, the importance of the 15-minute sub-dial with luminous indications; 12-hours counter sub-dial located at the 6 o’clock position.

The Stainless Steel bidirectional rotating bezel is secured by 3 screws that are placed in precisely the same positions as those on the watch from 1953. Breitling in house caliber B09 contains 39 jewels and has an approximate power reserve of 70 hours. The watch presented on a Black Calfskin Leather Strap with Tang Buckle Clasp. The water resistance is up to 30m/99Ft.
